The Gite Beau Grand is tastefully decorated in spacious and light way. Entering, you find a large open living room/kitchen. Beautiful stone detail work, specific to the fine old homes of southwest France, set the tone for this totally remodelled 1800s French farmhouse. Thick stone walls keep this lovely home cool in the summer and warm in winter. Beyond the living room lies a light-filled conservatory/dining opening onto a private garden with stone barbeque. A jewel of a space, the conservatory is perfect for dining, a cup of tea or a good book. Down the hallway you’ll find a spacious master bathroom with separate toilet. An enchanting single bedroom features 2 arched alcoves made of old wine casks: cozy nooks for enjoying a good book or tucking in a sleepy child. The end of the hallway features a sunny double bedroom.

Down the hall is the entry to the second part of the home called the Gite Petit. Divided by a doorway, this area can be a private apartment for guests or becomes a perfect option for two families. The Gite Petit features a charming sitting area with fireplace, small refrigerator, kettle for tea and coffee, separate bath and toilet, and double doors onto a petite patio entrance. The spacious mezzanine above, accessed by a wooden staircase, features an airy double bedroom with tree-top view from the window. (A second downstairs bedroom will be closed in the off-season for our storage purposes.)

The house comes fully furnished with all amenities: dishwasher, washing machine located in the barn, DVD, TV, internet access, etc. (Apartment does not have a separate kitchen.)

The swimming pool, shared in summer with other Simply Canvas guests, is situated between a wildflower prairie, lavender field and verdant vineyard. A wooden pool deck, with sun beds and canvas sun sails, is perfect for relaxing after a refreshing swim. A spacious outdoor terrace overlooks the pool and fields and is a fun gathering place for friends.

The Simply Canvas holiday home is situated on a land of 5 hectares (12.5 acres). Owners/hosts Sandra and Santi live in a separate house on the property. A small fishpond and driveway divide the two homes, affording privacy and personal space. The property features an organic garden, abundance of fruit trees, hazelnuts and walnuts. Join us harvesting! Pick a basket of ruby-red cherries, juicy sun-warmed figs, blackberries, apples or handful of purple plums. You’re also invited to enjoy our table d'hote (set-menu supper) 5 days each week during summer. Served family-style on long wooden tables on the terrace, the seasonal menu changes daily and features local produce.

Come and enjoy a lovely holiday week between May and September when the home is available for summer rental. Enjoy either the Gite Grand and/or the Gite Petit.
