Not only do we look a little bit out of the ordinary as a couple (people recognise us as the small Asian guy and the tall Dutch woman), but our background story is a little special as well.

We have both spent many years pursuing our personal spiritual paths.

Santi came to France from Laos when he was only 2. At the age of 11 he became a baby monk for the first time in the Theravada Buddhist tradition for three months. He continued to study with his teacher mainly during school holidays and was ordained as a full time Buddhist monk at the age of 22 for a period of 7 years, during which he travelled extensively in Sri Lanka, Switzerland, England and France. Where he studied, taught and stayed in various temples.

Sandra grew up in the Netherlands and took a walk on many different paths; studied International Management, travelled extensively in Asia, made a career and at the same took up an interest in foot reflexology, Reiki and read and studied in many different "spiritual" areas. In 2001 she left her job to spend full time on some deep soul searching. She lived - and was eventually ordained- as a Buddhist nun in the Vietnamese Buddhist Zen tradition and stayed for five years in the Buddhist monastery Plum Village in France.

To make a long story short; this is where we met, and where we finally ended up together. We are happy to share more with you around the kitchen table.
