A working holiday like no other

Because we run Simply Canvas with only the two of us, we can very well need some extra hands once in a while. We therefor offer the opportunity to come and do volunteer work in our place between May and September. We offer food and lodging plus our lovely place and ask in return to help us out for a number of hours a day. The work consists of all kinds of things like mowing the grass on the tractor, dish washing, cleaning, getting bread from the bakery, washing the linnen, gardening etc. We have space for maximum 2 volunteers at a time and you have your own bedroom and shared bathroom with the other volunteer. We offer space for 1-3 weeks maximum in a row, working times are flexible during the week. On changeover days you work a good part of the day, on the days we don't cook there is much less work and you can enjoy the pool and surroundings. If you have something extra to offer like massages or giving yoga classes, this is very much welcomes. E-mail us if you are interested.

Working holiday at Simply Canvas

6-20 April 2013 (no costs, but a few hours work a day)

Feel like doing the odd job, some gardening, some handy stuff, some painting in the first spring sun of France. Joining in for some good food, ping pong contests and hanging out around the camp fire?

Between 6-20 April we offer a great opportunity to come and do some work on our property. Costs?? 5 Hours of work a day! In this way it becomes highly accessible to get some fresh air, do some fysical work and have a small holiday at the same time at Simply Canvas.

Odd Jobs

There are many little things to be done and it is also dependent on your speciality. Both the weeks are open to every body. There is lots of cleaning to do in the garden, starting the veggie garden, work in the new young orchard, painting jobs, some carpentry, fencing. For the very handy people there is also space for little projects like making a bicycle washing machine or an aquaponics system.

What we Ask

We are looking for independent workers who are not afraid for some fysical work. You stay a minimum of one week, but of course you are welcome to join us for both the weeks. We are open to men and women (we don’t receive children this week).

What we offer

Transfers from the trainstation in Ste Foy la Grande

3 meals a day

Shared 2-person bedroom in our holiday home.

You take care of your trip to Simply Canvas (fly to Bordeaux and on with the train to Ste Foy la Grande or fly to Bergerac, where we will come and pick you up).

Want to come?

Send us an e-mail with the date you would like to come and what you enjoy doing, or what you are good at, we will try to keep this into account. The maximum number of persons for this week is 8, so it will be nice and cosy.
