As a couple we look a little bit out of the ordinary  (people recognise us as the small Asian guy and the tall Dutch woman). Santi arrived in France at the age of 2 from Laos and Sandra was born in The Netherlands. It has been quite a detour before we met and this was evenetually in a Buddhist monastery around the corner from where we are now. We both lost our hearts to this little corner of France.
Simply Canvas manifested itself first slowly in our minds by dreaming about it for a couple of years until it finally happened in 2008 when we opened our doors. We love living in the country side and like the rythm of busy summers filled with lovely guests and more quiet autumn and winters where we focuss on developing our 5 hectare of land according to permaculture, which is a specific way of gardening. the veggie garden doubles in size nearly every year and the orchard is growing as well.
